Green Green Grass

This project has borrowed its title from the country song "Green Green Grass of Home" from1965. The project consists of several photographies, installation works and silk screen prints with motifs from Iceland and from nothern Norway. The works show remote and deserted areas, typical environments for areas of the coast where it is to cold to make money on tourisme. This areas has been very important for survival, where fishing and shipping has been the main resources. Now the new age of oil industry has made its way to this areas, and a massive change is unevitable coming.

The project does not deal with the political and economical changes, but of the emotionally and subjective nostalgia linked to the idea of unspoiled nature.

 

The project Green Green Grass was exhibited as a solo show at Bølgen Kulturhus in 2012.
